HTML Executable is a powerful and versatile HTML compiler that turns websites (or any group of HTML pages) into single executable files which are real stand-alone Windows applications.

You can select between three "classes" of executable files to create: Self-Extracting, featuring a built-in HTML Viewer or acting as a custom Web browser (based on Internet Explorer). All source files (HTML, graphics, media...) are strongly compressed in order to make compact executable files useful for distribution or archiving purposes.

Everything of the compiled website program can then be customized according to your needs: apply skins to the user interface; use scripting to control its behavior; protect your pages using security profiles to create trial ebooks and restrict user rights; display splash screens or messages; add a table of contents, a search engine and a favorite manager; change the icon, the version information of your .exe files and digitally sign them. You can almost compile any website even using DHTML, JavaScript, HEScript or simple Java applet.

HTML Executable is finally mostly wizard-driven: its intuitive interface lets both inexperienced and advanced users get the most of their first ever executable website.

What's New in This Release:

В· New publication type: Internet Explorer-based publications (a.k.a. IE Browser publications) which are similar to stand-alone HTML Viewer publications, except that they use the same engine as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Consequently you can use all features supported by IE: DHTML, JavaScript, full CSS support, Flash SWF, online connection, even Java applets (limited support: please see the help topic "Using Java applets"
В· New interface: although the tabbed interface is kept, the user interface has been greatly enhanced. You can now resize and maximize the main window.
В· Improved skin support and more skins for your publications. A skin editor is also available as a free add-on.
В· Introduction of HEScript language: publications are script-driven and support user scripting. You can use HEScript in addition to JavaScript if you wish. Note that HEScript scripts are compiled so you cannot directly embed them in HTML pages (see the help).
В· Improved file compression: HTML Executable now uses strong compression algorithms in order to generate smaller publications.
