Visual Imagemapper is an image map editor; easy to use for the amateur, but still powerful enough for the professional developer.

An image map is an image that contains one or more clickable areas, also known as hotspots. Adding hotspots is both quick and easy when using Visual Imagemapper.

You no longer have to cut and paste incomprehensible html code between the image map tool and the html editor, because you can easily open an existing html file, from which you select an image file to work with.

Once you're done, you can save the code directly to the html file without changing the rest of the code in any way.

If you need to edit the html code manually, it can be done - and you may even preview the map with the built-in viewer or an external browser.

Here are some key features of "Visual Imagemapper":

· Existing Imagemaps - It's possible to load and save into an already existing image map.
· Edit Hotspots - The hotspots can be edited both in wysiwyg mode and text mode.
· Rotate hotspots - It is possible to rotate polygons and rectangles.
· Preview your imagemap - You can preview the document in both internal and external browser.
· Different Color - Set different color on each hotspot, this make it easier to work on document with many hotspots.
· Lock hotspots - Lock hotspots so it can't be moved or deleted by accident.
· Undo/Redo - Undo and Redo figure events in wysiwyg mode.
· Change hotspot - Possible to change hotspot type after the hotspot has been painted to the document.
· Zoom - Zoom to working document, from 25% to 500%.
· Save as CERN/NCSA - If saving the document as MAP, you could chose between CERN og NCSA file format.
· HTML document - When opening an html document, every picture in the file can be opened and worked with.
· Multiple Maps - Because of the tabbed interface, multiple image maps can be opened and worked with.
· Copy/Paste - Copy and Paste figures between all working documents.
· Clipboard - You can copy the MAP code directly to the clipboard without saving it to an file first.
· Manually edit coordinates - You can manually edit the hotspots coordinates, this give you the possibility to place an figure exactly where you want.


Limitations:

· This evaluation of Visual Imagemapper will function without any restrictions for 30 days, after 30 days the program will stop working, and you are given the option to either purchase the full program or uninstall it.


What's New in This Release:

· FIX If the user enter a very large coordinate value, this results in an overflow run-time error. It no longer possible to enter a value that is larger than the image coordinates (height/width).
· FIX If an item in the properties window have focus, and the user click one of the window tabs (Design/preview), VIM closes down.
· FIX VIM closes down if you in the Edit Hotspot dialog sets one of the figures coordinates to a non valid number.
· FIX If you click on a hotspot when you have the Hotspot rotate mode activated, you move the figure instead of rotate it.
· ADD When moving a point in a polygon, the points coordinates are updated in the properties window.
· FIX Some of the internet shortcuts are outdated.
· FIX When the mouse isn't over a shape, there's no right-click context menu. Meaning that you can't paste without going to either the toolbar or the Edit menu when there are no shapes.
· ADD Added a Browse Button in the HREF property. This makes it easier to link to local files.
· ADD In the TARGET property, a combo box with the standard target types (_blank, _self, _parent, _top) are added.
· FIX Zooming large images with hotspots on generates an run-time error. Now the zoom will be reset back to 100%.
· FIX Wizard-created shapes miss quotes on coordinates.
· FIX If the properties window have the focus and the user try to resize the main window, this sometimes result in a run-time error.
· FIX Fixed an problem that occur when paste figures into the imagemap working area.
· ADD An option that convert all tags to lowercase when saving.
· ADD User have the opportunity to set the open and close tag char.
· FIX Setting a hotspot name to empty makes VIM quit.
