Backup2005 Synchronizer can be used to synchronize data between two computers. If you work on 2 computers ( e.g. a desktop and a notebook computer) use the Source>>Target< Backup2005 Synchronizer can also be used as a backup software.

You can back up data to a network drive or an external drive.
If you use a device or a medium easily removable maybe is a good thing to encrypt files, if these files are important for your business or if you wish to preserve your privacy.

The Live synchronization module is able to copy a file as soon as you have done any change, or rename it. A very nice tool if you own an USB memory key.

Synchronizing to or from a CD or DVD is not a function of Backup2005 Synchronizer. It is practically impossible to do it. But Backup2005 Synchronizer can copy from or to a CD-RW or DVD-RW through a packet writer software such as Incd or Direct CD, usually delivered with your CD/DVD burner. This will help you to transfer data from one computer to another if computers are not connected.

So you can use only RW medium and the transferable amount of data is limited to the medium size. Files can't be split over multiple media (due to packet writer software limitations).

Only the Source>>Target synchronization mode is available when a CD or DVD is selected as well as source as target.

If you need to transfer an amount of data greater than the size of a single medium, use Backup2004 (Backup2005) Pro.
