iPod Agent is a Windows program for use with an Apple iPod.

It allows you to easily do various tasks that have been relatively hard to do without buying some 3rd party software.

I'm sure I'll be adding more features to iPod Agent in the near future. If you use it and discover something you'd like added or would like something to work a bit different, please contact me and I'll see what I can do about adding those changes into a future version.

Here are some key features of "iPod Agent":

· Transfers songs from your iPod to your PC
· Transfers Outlook mail to your iPod
· Transfers Outlook appointments to your iPod
· Transfers Outlook contacts to your iPod
· Transfers Outlook tasks to your iPod
· Transfers Outlook notes to your iPod
· Fetches weather forecasts from the web and puts it on your iPod
· Fetches RSS news feeds from the internet and makes them available on your iPod
· Fetches local movie showtimes from the internet and makes them available on your iPod
· Feteches daily horoscopes from the internet and makes them available on your iPod
· Transfer the contents of any folder on your PC to your iPod
· Copy any text file to your iPod - iPod Agent will automatically break these up into 4k size pages if necesasry (the iPod has a limit of 4k size notes).
· Create listings of the songs on your iPod in plain text, HTML or CSV formats.


iPod Agent is NOT an iPod music manager. It does not allow you to add or remove songs from your iPod. I feel Apple's excellent iTunes software already does that very well and there is no need for me to duplicate that functionality here. iTunes is free as well, so that isn't an issue.

Note: This software does not make any changes to the iTunes database on the iPod. So, there is no chance that it will screw up your music on your iPod.

What's New in This Release:

· iTunes 4.9 and iPod Updater 2005-06-26 compatibility - Apple changed their iPod database format with verison 4.9 of iTunes and "iPod Updater 2005-06-26". These changes are to support podcasts within iTunes and on the iPod. These changes would cause iPod Agent to report an "out of memory" error when accessing the songs on the iPod. This release has been updated to handle this change in the database format.
